Ross Annels - Curriculum Vitae

Ross is a wood artist, sculptor, printmaker and designer-maker. Ross’ work explores themes of place-ecology, ecoregionalism and landscape memoir. 

 

 

Ross has established the Cooroora Institute with Dr Tamsin Kerr, which brings together artists and artisans with public intellectuals to celebrate, promote and discuss community connectedness to place and environment.

Selected Projects

  • 2015 Fig Tree Project - a year long collaborative investigation responding to a heritage listed fig tree removed from the QLD Exhibition Grounds. The work to be installed on the RNA site is bent and welded metal, and etched and printed glass. Works in wood, words, clay, paper, metal and canvas were developed separately.
